Shirley is a graduate of Massey University New Zealand and has over 15 years experience in the mental health field. She has worked with a wide range of issues, supporting individuals, families, and youth within mental health services, community-based organisations, and private practice.
Shirley has experience working with parenting difficulties, relationship challenges, boundary development, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, grief, disruptive behaviours, ADHD-related challenges, emotion regulation and self-injurious behaviour.
She also provides professional supervision and works with several Employment Assistance Programs (EAP).
Her goal is to help individuals reach their highest potential and for families to live more harmonious and happier lives together.
In her spare time Shirley enjoys Macro photography, tennis, forest walks and painting. She finds this allows for mindful opportunities and supports self-care. She often encourages those around her to find their mindful moments and to take care of themselves in their busy lives.
